My Methods
At the heart of the each session is identifying your clear concern and supporting you in realizing it. As a life counselor, my role is to help you activate and examine your resources and unfold your potential.
But this is not about self-optimization where you constantly have to achieve more and more. On the contrary, the guiding principles are self-acceptance, appreciation, and self-reflection.
Together, we look at your concern—whether it’s a problem or a goal—and create a roadmap that leads to fulfilling your concern. We examine the values and beliefs you carry within you, your identifications that cause you suffering, and your dreams and hopes that lie dormant inside you. Here, we work cognitively and rationally: we analyze the problem, we plan the steps.
Then we move into feeling: What emotions are present? What are these emotions telling you? What do you need in order to manage these emotions?
The body holds great potential. All emotions and psychological states find expression in the body. Therefore, we can use the body to process and work through these emotions.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) was popularized by Gary Craig and is a widely applicable form of tapping acupressure. It is especially well suited for processing emotions and organizing thoughts.
EDxTM (Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods) was developed by Fred Gallo and combines kinesiology muscle testing to identify specific acupressure points and to resolve deeply rooted, blocking beliefs.
When tapping, you gently tap the meridian points on your body, which in turn affects your mind. Tapping is an integral part of my approach. During the couneling or coaching process, blocking beliefs often become apparent, which we can quickly and effectively dissolve by individually identifying the meridian points.
By combining breathing and mindfulness exercises, you can, under my guidance, dive deeper into your inner experience and unfold your inner potential. Here, my experience as a life and social counselor and as a yoga teacher come together.
Another meditative practice I very much like to use is the Mettā meditation. It helps us cultivate self-love, acceptance, and goodwill towards others. When the heart opens, the soul becomes free.
Just as I get to know your potential during our sessions, my goal is for you to recognize your great value by the end of the process. You will achieve this as blocking beliefs are weakened or even resolved — as a direct and tangible result of applying my methods throughout the coaching process.
